I got this chair 2 years ago for my 6 year old to use. It has stood the test of time and is still as good as new two years later. There are a couple of very tiny tears in the fabric but they have not spread at all even after heavy daily use.

This measures 60" length x 36" (arm width)x 41 1/2" tall. The back is 32" tall and the seat is 22" deep x 21" across. It reclines to many positions and settles where you choose. Notice the continuance to the footrest. This swivels, reclines and looks sleek. These do not rock...I interpret coloring as more of a rich black color. I was in Best Buy and one of these were on display. This is a really cool chair that can connect to your TV or Ipod, and you can listen to music or play games. This is a really cool chair. There are speakers in the chair as well, and it vibrates! Not to mention it is also very comfortable. The only problem is that it is kind of small, it is very narrow. Either way, this would still be a good buy, even if it does cost a pretty hefty $130.

I bought these chairs for my two sons 12 & 13 for Easter. The chairs looked great and the boys really enjoyed them for about 3 weeks when we were sitting in our game room one day and I heard this awful snap. My son was leaning back in the chair playing a video game and suddenly he was on the floor on his back. I unzipped the cover to see why the chair back had broken and couldn't believe my eyes...the chair is made of thick styrofoam. The same stuff disposable coffee cups are made of. What a waste of $$$. The next week the 2nd chair broke the same exact way. The styrofoam must not handle the stress of gamers over any length of time. I suppose if you just sat in them and did not lean back - they might last a full 2 months, better yet don't let anyone sit in them and they'll possibly last until the styrofoam deteriorates. Don't waste your money...I'm glad I'm here to help the next person.

I picked these game chairs because I liked the arm rest's and the wireless feature. My boys (7 and 11) think they are very comfortable. They actually slept in them Christmas night. I had a little trouble figuring out which cord to connect to what, after a little trial and error we got it right. It would be more accurate to call chairs semi-wireless since the chair has to be plugged in to work. I tried doing the wireless thing but decided since the chairs had to be plugged in anyway, it didn't really matter. The material on the chairs is a little thin so I make the boys throw a fleece blanket over it for protection. Chairs collapse which is cool but they are pretty heavy to move from room to room without some help. All in all, I'm happy with them and the boys love them. They use them in their room to play XBox, Nintendo DS, and watch TV.

I was using my son's floor chair (somewhat like a beanbag chair) for when I was playing games until my wife bought this as a christmas gift (early) and I like it. The seat has a longer back than other game chairs that I've used which supports tall people like me. I'm 6'5" so this chair gives me the full support without having to hunch or feel like Im sitting in my son's chairs. The audio is stereo quality so don't feel excited or let down about the sound. I hook up the audio to my tv and the chair for the extra boost in sound. The sub is nice, nothing like having a real bass sub but it will vibrate the chair. The audio is still controlled from the system (I have a PS3) but the audio on the chair does help make it louder. The speakers are located at the top of the chair next to your head. The chair has instructions on how far you can sit from the wireless reciever which is a good distance away but not too far. Folding the chair is nice but it's still a good 2' tall afterwards. Storing is easy if you have a good corner or table to put it in/under. I started getting uncomfortable with the padding in the seat so I put a pillow on the seat to give it more cusion. The arm rests are at perfect height and make it easier to focus more on the game than feeling pain through your arms (I had my arms resting on the ground, where it would pinch my elbow and start to make my hands go numb). Overall this seat is very relaxing for everything like games, movies, or just watching tv.

What a recliner! This is a new style, that comes with an extra thick cushion!

This measures 60" length x 36" (arm width)x 41 1/2" tall. The back is 32" tall and the seat is 22" deep x 21" across. It reclines to many positions and settles where you choose. I saw this item at Target and sat in it (I am a 19yo 280lb guy) and this seat holds me and is very comfertable. I don't expect the sound to work nor would I ever use it. Why put sound in a chair when you have a tv? To enhance gamming? If your looking for that buy a LCD tv and a 360 or PS3. The chair seems to have a bad rap so far SO the person living in japan(?) on the Target site it states they do not ship to those adresses. Tp the person with the knees up in their face how are you sitting? I'm in the chair sitting as if I were sitting on a stool (a comfy padded stool) with great leg room and no knees in my face. A great buy for 15 bucks but like I said I would not expect the sound to be great and i'm not even going to try to hook it up to see if it does work. I needed a game chair went looking around and tried some outall the others that have the tilted L shape were painful and way to expencive for a chair. I love this chair b/c of it's size and the ability to carry it around anywhere. Great product would recomend it to anyone!

We bought 2 of these chairs for our boys for Christmas. We are returning both!! We've replaced one already as it was broken out of the box, now a 2nd one isn't working correctly - and we've only used them since Christmas Day!! Not to mention if you are over 5 feet tall you can't sit in them because your knees are in your face. You have to buy a D/C power supply seperate or eat up batteries, it's not wireless so cords every where and they only have speakers - no "vibrations". Next time I'll do better research. Don't waste your time or money on these chairs!!

got this after my wife got me the logitech g27. this thing is the best bar-none! everything is sturdy and rigid and there seems to be no issues at all with torque and wobble. i was concerned because i am in the 330lbs range and read that this thing has a 300lb capacity. this thing is rock solid! i did have to adjust the pedal mount so that it was easier to left foot brake.....still am having trouble finding games that support the clutch on the g27..but that is a different story all together. the only issue i had was with the wife harping at me about spending too much time with the PS3 and PC.....but that also is another story....the seat is ultra comfy and everything is very ergonomic after a little bit of finding out where you like everything. i have found myself using this chair by itself when entertaining large groups of friends....i dont mind sitting on it because it is so comfortable. when i purchased this it was eligible for free shipping...so i scooped it up! if you have the cash to drop it is well worth the investment. it makes the gaming experience so much more enjoyable! all they need to do now is add hydrolics to it to make it a REAL simulator! i do wish that there was a way to run the cables inside the tubing, but there are no other compalints from me! i also added the gearshift holder which bolts on with ease...makes it that much nicer!

This seat is AMAZING! After reading all of the reviews on here, trying to decide on which seat I wanted (this one, the classic, or competitor seats). I ordered the Playseats Evolution based on reviews, setup, and price. I took advantage of the FREE 2-day shipping through Amazon Prime, and with a total weight of 55 lbs., I got a sweet deal! Setup takes about 30-minutes, but the seat and frame are solid. This is steel, not flimsy aluminum or tin, steel!

Some reviewers have commented about the adjustment knobs that allow you to adjust the length of the seat from the steering columns and pedals causing scratching and scoring of the paint, and it's true. But this doesn't have any effect on anything other than some slight cosmetic blemishing in an area you can't really see anyway. For me, it's not even an issue.

I attached the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel to this, using the Velcro to hold the pedals in place, and it makes the gaming experience AMAZING! The combined force feedback of the Driving Force GT wheel with the comfort of the chair makes you really feel like you're in the game (my 78" screen with HD projector helps a bit here too). I've used this combo on the PS3 for Nascar '09, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and Formula 1 Championship Edition.

A little hint: If you are going to need to adjust the setting for different users (like your kids) use velco-type cable ties to secure the cables from your wheel and pedals to the columns to allow you to move things around. Tying the cables down cleans up the layout and keeps you from getting tangled-up.

Driving seats are big, ugly and in the way. All of them. At least this one folds.

I'm 6' 2" and a guy I race with on occasion is 5' 4". In 30 seconds we can switch between our two settings. Nice, fast adjustments. The seat folds down, so at least it stores easily.

Driving seats make driving games worth playing, but I need to come up with a way to hide it. I just can't deal with it in the living room.

But, yeah, this one is great.

Racing Chair, which isnt just a gaming chair. It goes above and beyond the call, making way for racing games and flight simulators as well. It can do almost whatever you want, and more peripherals and parts are being made to be used for it.

The PRC has many things to look over, and it will be reviewed on certain key points: comfort, versatility, add-ons, and extended use. Ive had the pleasure of using the PRC for nearly two months, the entire time with an open dialog with the developers, giving direct feedback on the chair.

Nothing is more important than comfort when gaming. Its bad enough that there are so many distractions that can take away the experience just from the game itself, but outside distractions are significantly worse. If players find themselves getting more comfortable consistently while playing, there is obviously a problem.

The PRC is one of the most comfortable seats Ive ever sat in, gaming or otherwise. Its unique shape is absolutely perfect; the upright seat allows for proper posture with the correct leverage. The many hours I spent in the chair never once left me uncomfortable or moving about to get more comfortable.

This is both with and without the optional cushion, but I would recommend getting the cushion as well. Because of the shape of the seat, it isnt odd to feel like resting your head against the seat, which feels much better with the cushion. The cushion is also easier on bare skin.

Every single person who sat in the PRC, regardless of height, weight or body type, said it was extremely comfortable. Like the bucket seat of a racing car, it forces the person to sit all the way in the seat and lean back, which is the most comfortable position to be in. The cushion attaches to the seat in quite a few ways, but clips on the ends can and have scratched very easily around the legs. I dont know why it needs to be connected in so many ways to the chair, but the two front connectors can leave gamers bloodied.

The rear stabilizers fit in perfectly, but like the front ones have a tendency to fall off while being moved.

However, the comfort of the seat depends on the gaming situation as well. While playing on the Wii, I found the PRC to be restrictive to gameplay because it is made to keep your arms snuggly in place. The Wii, of course, requires the arms to move, so playing Wii games such as Mario Kart Wii dont work well in it.

For PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gaming, the PRC was perfect. It was also very well suited for movie and TV viewing, though because its so low to the ground, the only place to hold snacks or the controller is on the floor or an equally low platform.

Versatility is also an important point to recognize. Putting the chair together was easy even without the instructions, though some of the extra parts can confuse if not explained. For instance, several tethered ropes come with the seat to hold the legs together, even though they are built to be attached to the actual seat. However, testing showed that without the rope, the legs would slowly move apart, and that having the rope in place would keep them from spreading apart.

Depending on which optional parts purchased, the PRC can be made fully customizable. On its own, the PRC is a half rocking chair; the front legs are rockers and the back legs are, well, legs. This makes it perfectly safe to lean back far because the chair will stop at a certain point. Simultaneously, Ive found it comfortable to recline fully while gaming, which has never been so easily accessible in a chair before.

owever, there are those who undoubtedly wish to buy the full spec, with racing add-ons and all, will be very pleased to receive even more options. Front stabilizers, made specifically to keep the seat from rocking forward and to house the controller stand. In terms of seating, I found the most comfortable way was to use both front stabilizers while reclining fully, so that if I didnt want to lean back anymore, the front stabilizers would keep the seat in place.

On its own, the PRC is fairly versatile, but with all the extra parts, it becomes a powerchair for nearly any use.

Other add-ons include rear stabilizers, meant to be used in conjunction with the front stabilizers to make the seat completely immobile. They are used specifically for racing, because the last thing that should happen during a race is your seat rocking back and forth.

The real treat, however, is the controller stand. Made to house any racing wheel, the 10 or 20 wooden panel clips worked well with several different racing wheels without fuss. Its implementation is somewhat tacky, but it works properly regardless. Setup is easy; just put the controller stand under the right slit on the front stabilizers (which slit is used depends on where you want the wheel to be, either farther or closer to you). Finally, hook the small rope, which is capable of holding 250 pounds, to the chairs hook and pull the lever.

Racing on the PRC is a blast. After finding the best placement for the racing wheel and locking the controller stand in place, it stays in place and strong. Turning the wheel like you would in a car is fine. On occasion, I found that the latch would come loose, but the wooden panel remained strong and the pole didnt dislodge

Over the course of my two months with the PRC, Ive come to love it, and I can prove it. As they say, you dont appreciate something until its gone, and when I moved it into the room with the Wii and was forced to play on the couch while others tried it out, I was devastated. It was nearly impossible to get comfortable, even on my couch. Nothing was suitable for gaming.

As a gaming chair, the Precise Racing Chair is excellent, combining comfort, style and usability. As a racing chair, it hits greatness with fine-tuned parts that add on well. Sure all the add-ons are somewhat tacky and cheap-looking, but they all work and keep the price down to a reasonable cost. Once you sit in this chair, you will not want to give it up.

Very comfortable and durable, easy to build, versatile, has lots of different add-ons; racing scheme is perfect for racing titles and keeps the wheel steady; set of wrenches makes proper controller stand alignment simple.

Lows

Some sharp edges, most add-ons connect is a cheap-looking manner and can have sharp edges; latch at times comes loose during gameplay.

Final verdict

One of the best gaming chairs Ive ever sat in. Perfect for PS3 and 360 gamers for anything, and also for racing simulators all around.

"uncomfortable, won't stay inflated" 2010-02-07

we have had this bed for a month. it has been used every night by out houseguest. she reports that the bed is very uncomfortable, especially at the point where the larger and smaller bed sections join. also, we have had to continuously refill the bed - approximately every other day. the manufacturer's info sheet states that the mattress will lose a small amount of air for the 'first several uses', but i think that after 30 days it should be staying inflated.

to make matters worse, the phone number listed three different times on the warranty page is 'out of service and there is no new number.' this is charming, as the instructions from Amazon say to contact the company directly.

we were impressed by the 5 star ratings the previous reviewers gave to this bed, and thought the numerous possible configurations were a nifty added bonus. We are very disappointed in the performance of this product. Now we must not only go through the hassle of repackaging and returning the bed, but must begin again search for a suitable replacement. it remains to be seen what response we receive from the manufacturer.

I am a college senior living in a tiny studio in NYC, and the LoungAir is everything I could've hoped for.

It serves as:

1. a comfortable reading/lounging chair. After months of experimentation, I finally decided that my favorite conformation is to have it as a chair, but to deflate the smaller, middle portion and have only the larger, bottom part as the seat. It's a bit sturdier that way, has more seat area, and I like being close to the floor. I like curling up in it and reading, or setting my laptop table over my legs and working on my computer.

2. extra cushioned seating for guests when I inflate the whole thing and pull out the bottom

3. a comfortable twin-sized mattress when I have guests over

That being said, all the positions are very comfortable and I have fallen asleep on it in all sorts of positions multiple times.

Best of all, it deflates and folds up to fit into its small travel bag and takes up very little space. It seems very durable, so I imagine that when I get a real place, I'll be able to stick it in the closet to use for its air mattress function.

I do wish it came in more colors, but the dark blue is beautiful. Also, the texture is comfy. It gets lint on it a lot, but I just use one of those sticky rolling lint removers to clean it. Also, the pump is super easy and fast to use. I love the LoungAir, and I get compliments on it from everyone who visits.

I have this model as well as the outdoor loungair and they are awesome. When I received the LoungAir I was absolutely delighted with the look, function & quality of it! I have to say I love it!!! I have back problems and it is generally hard for me to get comfortable when resting and often sitting as well. I bought the LoungAir to be able to have a combination of chair & bed options for my camper van and it is prefect for that. What I didn't expect is for it to be so comfortable! My son received this for Christmas last year. For the most part he has used it with his gaming system and ipod. The fact that it has to be plugged in, makes it a challenge to have it in the middle of the room. So when it's not in use the plug has to sit on the floor next to it or right on it (no storage found for the power brick)....which means I have to be careful when vacuuming around the chair (for fear of sucking up the cords). The novelty of it has already worn off with my son and now it's just a chair.

Got it as a X-Mas gift and wow. While recently playing Orange Box's "Portal" a level where you must create multiple portals to accelerate yourself became an ALMOST overwhelming experience as the sound of your body building speed wooshes past your head. Call of Duty 4 on this chair keeps your heart pumping as explosions are everywhere causing the subwoofer to *thump* you into the belief you may actually make a difference to the outcome of the war.

Pros: Soft, folds up out of the way, can be unforgivingly loud (YEA!), wireless (NICE!), very direct and closely controlled sound. Your ears and back can be near ready to explode from high levels of volume, but no one around you will notice that much as the sound is focused on the person in the chair.

Cons: Needs some kind of lumbar support for extended sessions of Warhawk and Halo 3 or basically any game played for 3 hours or more (maybe it is good, because it makes me go outside), keep forgetting to turn off the wireless x-mitter so my batteries are always DEAD (have rechargable spares)

FYI: The chair needs power, as that is the only wire you will need to plug in. Not light, not heavy, awkward to lift, needs a locking mechanism to hold the chair in a folded position while moving. I am 225 pounds, 6 feet tall and muscle build, and there are times I don't feel like dragging this chair out of the closet. Unless this goes in a separate room for gaming, I don't see too many people moving it too far from the TV.

Had a party recently for some College Football, this chair was an immediate hit with drunken 30 y/o men and women, as the screaming stadium crowd was all around!!!

I love this chair - great for watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games. The sound is great, and the chair is pretty comfortable. It lacks lumbar support in order to get that big thumping bass in your lower back, which I think is worth it.

Getting a chair that works was a bit of a problem. I bought 2 chairs on amazon, and one came with a faulty right speaker. I called the company that makes the chairs (as instructed), and they promised to send out a new one. I called them a week later to see if they had sent it yet, and they hadn't - but they promised it would happen right away. This repeated once a week for 6 weeks. But finally the new chair came, and worked great. They didn't want the broken one back, so that part was easy.

So as long as you aren't in a hurry, I'd recommend getting this chair.

I owned the PY500 for about 2 weeks, but returned it because it was just too small for me. I'm 6 foot and needed something larger that would fit me "just right" for my vertical length. So, I put a few extra dollars down and upgraded to the PM440w, because it was the largest of the sound rocker chairs.

The feel and firmness of the chair is great, the adjustable head rest is a real nice bonus (considering my height with the previous model I had) and the sound it produces gives the chair meaning behind its name: it really does rock! My only complaint with this chair is the wireless -- it just doesn't work. Sure, the manual says to switch/try the transmitter and the control panel on different channels, both the chair and the transmitter needs to be on the same channel to communicate like a walkie talkie, but all I hear is static with just a hint of sound audio from my game. In my opinion, the so-called "wireless" functionality is worthless, because the manual says I have "too many radio waves" interfering and although it may be right because I wouldn't know, it's just too bad it doesn't work. it isn't completely wireless, because the chair needs to get its power, which it does from the AC supply, but also the wireless transmitter takes 4 AAA batteries to give you "wireless" audio which in my opinion is just bad design if the transmitter can't be AC powered as well.

The previous reviewer, Chad, talks about the issue with the new car smell that accompanies the chair when you first buy it. I agree that the smell is a little strong, but it will fade within a couple days and completely gone with in 2 weeks. The craftsman ship of mine feels good, but I'm not smelling any burnt wood that Chad talked about and I'm not able ready to tear mine apart just to see what's inside.

Overall, this chair is worth the price of $150, not $200, because the wireless audio won't work for everyone. Perhaps it will work for you? Also, if you're about 6 foot, which is average I would say, then you should buy this one over all the smaller ones. You'll appreciate the headrest and the height this model brings. The sound is booming too -- can't go wrong with it as it sounds perfect.

This gaming chair is good. It does what it's suppose to do. It is a good size. I'm 5'8" and the chair did not seem small. The thing I did not like about this gaming chair is that the seat portion to too hard. The seat made my bottom numb within 30 minutes (which is not enough time to play a game in reasonable confort). It does not recline that much; you use your legs a lot to keep from falling forward. I like the product, but a folding chair would have been cheaper.

I found myself sitting on the floor to play games. I wanted a chair so I'd be more comfortable (my leg would fall asleep and my daughter loved sitting on my lap when I would play). So I was on a quest to find a good chair.

I wanted a good quality chair. I didn't care about the sound since I have a surround system and no chair offers HDMI sound. I don't expect sound quality from the chair.

This chair does have wireless sound. A lot of people are looking for this in chairs. They do say it's wireless but like all the others it really isn't. You still have to plug the chair's a/c adapter into the wall.

For my purpose this chair is great. It's very comfortable and very great quality. Think of it as a high end office chair. The rails and arms are metal so I'm not sure if the information on amazon is correct. I'm an adult and find it just the right size. My head is just above the headrest though but that will also depend on how you sit in it. Some other chairs have the problem of tipping over. I found this chair has no problem with that whatsoever.

This is a great chair! If you want the sound this is a bonus but the technology of these chairs has not yet caught up with the current technology of TV's and games (HDMI and surround sound).

This Video Game chair is a great buy, but a few things are lacking.

The speakers are great! However, you get a slightly lower quality of music. Because you have to set up a small radio switch that allows you to send the sound to the gaming chair. The only cables are the ones on your game system and the cable to plug in the chair. I don't know what the other guy is talking about. This is a slight hassle to set up, but once set up it is worth it. Except for multi-player gaming. If you expected the music to come out of the tv for everyone else to hear, you thought wrong as I did. Instead, you have to turn the volume up so loud on the chair that it kills the person sitting in the chair!

If you hook up your mp3 player or ipod to this thing (a cable is included to do this) the sound quality is astounding! It is great if you have to draw and you have good music to draw to. Or write!

The chair is not quite as comfortable as it looks, but has better comfortability than the floor. It has a nice bar on the back of the seat to keep you from leaning back to far, which is useful. The headrest could be higher, but it is quite good to feel.

Sadly, this chair does not do something I thought it would do. I've heard of chairs that rumble where your controller would making you feel the full of the game. Sadly, even though the description makes it sound like it does, it doesn't. :(

A little heavy for travel, as well as packing cords can be frustrating. This is good to keep at home and for single-player action only. You can use this chair to have a comfortable seat for multi-player, but nothing else really works when you have more than 1 person. All in all, a GREAT buy. Any gamer or wannabe gamer would love this chair. A little pricy, but when you find it under the original $200, it's a GREAT deal. Expect to be satisfied AND dissapointed at the same time. But the positive is more than the negative.

I just got my Cohesion XP 11.2 gaming chair today and I love it. This is the first gaming chair I've ever gotten and I have to say this is more than I expected. The speakers are great on highs and lows and the quality of the sound is great. The built in sub can go very very deep and pierces you very nicely. The chair is very comfortable and easy to maintain and set up is very easy. Overall this chair is just amazing but there are a few minor setbacks. First the package that comes isn't your ordinary brown cardboard box but one with pictures and description of the product inside so you might want to make sure your home when delivered because leaving a blank box with a 200 dollar product on your porch for hours is sometimes unsettling as it is. Secondly you need to buy a female to male adapter if your tv doesnt have a headphone jack or no go. Thirdly the chair isnt fully wireless because those speakers need a stronger power source than a few batteries. Fourthly is its mainly for people under 5' 6". Lastly it is expensive but you get more than what you pay for in my opinion. Bottom line if you want a great gaming chair and are willing to shell out over 100 dollars then this is the chair to go with.

This works well for mounting the 360 wheel to your playseat. The package I received came with all of the bolts to mount the bracket to the seat. I would have liked some pre-cut velcro attached to the bracket so that I didn't have to cut it myself. There is some play in the wheel when mounted. A lot of that comes from the wheel itself, not the bracket or the seat. All in all, I am happy with my set up.

So I read the reviews, both good and bad... I knew I would be getting two over priced pieces of metal that may or may not have the instructions or the right hardware to properly secure my xbox 360 steering wheel to my playseat. This is what I got: Two over priced pieces of metal with both instructions AND the hardware to do the job perfectly. No need to dill any holes, make any trips to the hardware store or any other modifications. The velcro I had been using did a decent job but I was still getting a good bit of fore and aft movement. These adapter plates lock the wheel down tight. No more movement!! I knew going in that it was over priced so the fact that it does exactly what it's supposed to do and was a direct bolt on fit with all hardware included is why I give this a 5 star review. On a side note, I think this adapter plate should be included with the playseat to begin with. I also recommend you get this through amazon.

This is ridiculous! Look at the picture of the "mounting kit." See the two metal bits that are shown there? Well that's all you get for your $30. Allow me to elaborate:

The plates themselves fit perfectly into the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. The metal flanges slide securely into the slots in the wheel where the Microsoft table clamp (the clamp that comes with the Wheel itself) latches onto the wheel. The bottoms of the plates have bolts sticking out that line up perfectly with the holes in the Playseat's steering wheel mount. So all you have to do is slide the two mounting kit plates onto your Xbox wheel and put the bolts through the holes.

But wait... where are the nuts to actually attach the wheel to the seat? Turns out, there ARE NONE. For $30 all you get is some carefully bent gray metal. If you actually want to USE your Xbox wheel with this kit, you need to go to a hardware store with these stupid plates and figure out what nuts you need to buy that will thread onto the bolts to allow you to secure the wheel to the seat.

To be fair, once you get the bolts and tighten it down, even the most frantic drift racing won't even budge the wheel from the plate. But honestly, if I had it to do over, I would have just used the velcro strips that come with the seat itself (they give you a ton of big, beefy velcro strips and a fistful of zip-ties) and just velcroed the s*** out of the wheel and stuck the stupid thing on there. Then I could have put my $30 in a blender or something.

UPDATE: If you decide to buy this thing, go to your local hardware store and pick up 4 nuts (I used wing nuts... easier to just finger-tighten them on) that are Metric - Size M6-1.00

I got this as a Christmas present for myself, for my game room. It's really nice. The chair is comfortable. Being a bean chair, it does need to be fluffed every once in a while to keep it poofy, but that's normal. The sound quality is great! There are adjustments for volume, and bass, and it's easy to hook up. Basically, if you know how to plug in the a/v cables for a game system, you'll be able to use this chair's adapter. I highly suggest it for the avid gamer in your life!

You don't have to completely take apart your Evo seat. Just unbolt 2 screws & attach this. Quality construction but way too expensive for such a small item. IMO, this is worth $20 tops! I read the other reviews for this product, and I have to say that the negative ones I read were wrong. This is the typical design for this kind of chair. A chair like this does roll back easily, if used incorrectly. The people who said that they kept falling back, obviously have no idea how too sit in this type of chair. I have owned several of this type of chair in my life, and they have always been great, this chair is no different. I love this chair, and will continue too buy them in the future. As long as you are not a giant, then you will be fine sitting in it. I have even been able to fall asleep in this chair.

This chair might be okay for a child, but not for an average sized adult. The first time I sat in it, it tipped over backwards. There was no way to comfortably sit on it. The whole experience of buying this chair was just horrendous. It was shipped from a company in Canada so I knew it would take at least a week to receive my chair, but after almost two weeks I had still not received any package. It turns out my chair had been sent to somebody in Dallas.... This part was handled quite well I was told I would be sent another chair with no extra shipping. But once again it took another two weeks to get here. Once I had the chair put together and charged overnight as said to do in the instructions. It only worked for about thirty minutes and then died. I don't mean the battery died I mean the entire chair stopped working! If I tried to charge it the led would not come on saying it was charging, and the connector for the 3.5mm jack would shock me anytime I went near it. After all of this the company said they could not help me it was not there fault this chair was broken and would not replace it. Do not get me wrong these chairs are amazing if you buy them from the right store, but DO NOT buy from this seller! My product was sent to the wrong person, then when I got it four weeks after purchase it was faulty, and finally the store I bought it from told me to screw of it was not there problem. DO NOT!!! buy from this seller.

I've used this seat with both a Logitech GT Force Pro and now with a Logitech G27 with optional shifter mount and it is an excellent addition or anyone who really loves racing games.

It's all about control and comfort while driving and this seat just flat out works.

Pros-

Comfort - this is super comfortable even after using it for hours on end.

Stable - best way to mount your Logitech wheel and pedals. G27 bolts right on and is locked down, awesome.

adjustability - super easy to adjust wheel and pedals to get comfortable.

Game-play - Easiest and least expensive way to get premium game-play.

Cons-

wheel mount post placement takes some getting used to when using the G27 as it is right where you'd want your leg or braking and shifting.

Space needed for storage. This is best in a room where you can just leave it out and not have to pack it up.

Cable routing isn't pretty.

I've used this chair with GT5 Prologue, Dirt 2 and Need for Speed Shift and it's been excellent across the board.

This is such a frustrating product. I received it with one end torn and as soon as I removed it from the Amazon box screws and nuts started falling out. I figured no problem until I discovered that a nut was missing. Must have fallen out when Amazon packaged a torn box. It's too minor of a problem to warrant sending it back. Second, there are no directions as others have noted. I've installed it correctly, however the chair is not moving on both rails. One rail moves and the other doesn't.

It works exactly like what you have in a non-powered manual slider in cars. If you are using for yourself, then you don't need this. But if have others trying it out, then you need it. Combine it with the standard adjustments on my Playseats Evolution, I can let me 6 year old boy who's 42 inch tall to reach the pedal!

When I got the Playseat I ordered all the accessory that appeared to make sense. Being able to slide the seat back and forth sounds like a cool thing.

Unfortunately the quality is pretty low. One side works, the other side is locked and only glides when using excessive force. My kids can't use it without me and even I have trouble getting it to work.

It also comes without instructions whatsoever. It's not a huge deal, I figured it out in 2 minutes but many will have trouble. The actual installation is not as easy at it seems, kind of tricky to get the screws in place.

But most of all it is not a necessary thing to have. The Playseat is designed to be very easily adjustable so the sliding seat doesn't really add anything. In reality you will have to adjust the pedals and wheel base anyways to make it work for a child.

Maybe I have a bad unit, but it's too much hassle for me to unmount it and pay for the shipping back to get a replacement which will cause even more time to get it in again. Either way, you really don't need it, it works just fine without it and even my 7 year old can use the seat without this slider.

Pros:

- Does exactly what it claims- makes it easy to slide chair forwards and back to allow for friends/guests to use the seat. To use it, you sit on the seat, pull up on the handle and slide the seat forward and back.

Cons:

- No instructions apart from the white stickers attached to the unit. So it is a bit of a brain teaser to assemble.

A previous reviewer provided an excellent set of detailed instructions for the assembly. It was a bit difficult to visualize the overall process, so I am supplementing that with the following less detailed overview of the main steps. Also I uploaded some pictures I took of the process of assembly as well as an assembly diagram- Hope this helps.

Overall steps then are:

1. Remove seat from metal base of Playseat.

2. Attach slider bars to bottom of seat. The labeled side should face the bottom of the seat and the arrow on the label should point toward the front of the seat.

3. Attach the handle bar. This takes some muscle doing. When attaching the handle bar, make sure it is angled downward relative to the seat, rather than upward or else you won't have enough clearance to pull up on the handle when you are finally sitting on it. See diagram.

4. Attach seat to the metal base of the playseat. This is trickiest and it will be easier if you had an extra hand to depress the handle bar when you are putting in the screws because you are going to need to slide the bars in and out to insert the screws. This is where you should read the former reviewers instructions for additional details. This is probably the least intuitive part of the assembly.

Additional tips: ignore the circular holes on the slider. You will only use the elongated holes.
